Ian grew up in Myrtle Point, OR, a small logging town near the coast of southern Oregon. He played football, basketball, and baseball all 4 years of high school (Go Bobcats!). Beyond establishing a love for sports in high school, he developed a love for health and fitness. He went on to attend Oregon State University (Go Beavs!) where he found physical therapy to be his calling. After graduating from Oregon State, he pursued his doctorate in physical therapy from Touro University Nevada where he met his wife, Michelle, who is an acute care physical therapist. He spent his first two years working in a small college town outpatient clinic working with Division II and high school athletes, along with taking numerous continuing education courses to improve his treatment skills. Upon moving to California he continued his education by studying to become an orthopedic clinical specialist. This training has prepared him to work with various orthopedic conditions, and athletes of all levels. Ian has a particular interest in treating college and high school athletes, and has taken multiple courses focused on return to sport rehabilitation. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, hiking, camping, weight training, and watching sports.
