Kellie Banfield grew up in Walnut Creek and is happy to be back in the bay area. She graduated from University of California, Davis with a BS in Exercise Biology and minor in Psychology. While at UCD, she played club water polo, competed for the triathlon club, skiied as often as possible, and studied abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine’s San Diego Campus. She then went on to receive the Manual Therapy Certification from University of St. Augustine and board certified specialty of Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. She has completed extensive training in manual therapy, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, kinesiology taping, gait training, and functional exercise. Kellie’s favorite part of being a physical therapist is interacting with the patients and helping them meet their personal goals through individualized treatment. She continues to run marathons and compete in triathlons and enjoys treating this endurance athlete population. When not in the clinic, she enjoys skiing, hiking, training for races, and spending time with her husband, 2 young daughters, and adorable dog.
